UNPA Campaign launched in India

India joins the global force today of the ongoing campaign for the establishment of a United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA). Dr. V. Rangaraj, Sr. Vice President, Rolta India Limited and former Chairman of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce launched the historic campaign in India at an event held at SIES School, Matunga, Mumbai. Veteran journalist Dr. Vimla Patil (former Editor of Femina) who is one of first signatories to the Campaign’s UNPA Appeal spoke about the objectives and goals of this global initiative. Earlier, Vijayam Raghunathan, Coordinator in India for the Campaign, spoke about the UNPA and its significance today. People from different walks of life attended the launch and expressed their solidarity in support of the UNPA proposal.
